In 1975 the Girl Scouts of Tres Condados (now Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast) purchased this site, nestled in a unique and beautiful section of the lower Ojai Valley, and began building what is today known as the Arnaz Program Center. The center was officially dedicated on November 18, 1982. Since that time, thousands of Girl Scouts and many other people have enjoyed the beauty and riches of the Arnaz Program Center.

Site Features
Cabins and the Lodge - There are two cabins and a lodge on site, providing room for a variety of program events and overnight accomodations. Each building has electricity, hot water, cooking facilities and flush toilets.
Campsites - Arnaz boasts three comfortable campgrounds and five rainshines (permanent rain canopies) with individual firepits, cooking areas, picnic tables, running water, small grills and campfire rings.
Yurts - There are two yurts at Arnaz. Yurts are enclosed structures that can accommodate 25 people for a meeting or other activity. 18 people may sleep in bunk beds or cots overnight.
Activity Room - Connected to the main lodge, this room houses the Science Center and can accomodate up to 45 people for a variety of program activities or meetings.
Low Ropes Course - The low ropes elements are a fun and challenging way for groups to develop trust, confidence, and self-esteem. Team building, decision making, communication, problem solving and leadership are the primary focus of low ropes.
Wacky Walk - A fun and challenging course with twelve stations: each station is posted with instructions on how to use the wacky walk. Scattered throughout the property, the course is an entertaining feature built for girls to earn their Girl Sports patch.
Science Tubs - Bridging the Gap is an exciting science, engineering and math program that helps leaders bring the wonder and excitement of science to their troops. Fun, easy-to-do projects, ensure success at an affordable price. All age levels of Girl Scouts will be challenged. Tubs are available for check out.
