Our sleepover program emphasizes the different ways the Santa Barbara Zoo focuses on conservation, from the exotic to the local animals. Instructors will lead the group through fun experiments and activities to investigate animal adaptations and different skills necessary to study animals. Activities include a night walk, making behavioral enrichment bags for the animals, up close education animal encounters, special behind-the-scenes experience, and special time with a zookeeper.

This experience is designed to cater to your group’s wishes, so they get to decide what animal we’ll focus on, whether it’s Herbivores (elephants or gorillas) or Creepy Crawlies (snakes, lizards, frogs). We will also provide a group photo and lots of other fun surprises.
